Beat a drive shaft into submission. Had to bust out the grinder to get the old ones out.
Also changed the primary fluid in my motorcycle and adjusted the primary chain.

So was the issue a bad driveshaft?

The rear one was fine, but since I had the parts I figured it was cheap insurance to swap them. Parts for the front arrive today. I believe the front one to be bad from a visual inspection. You can tell one of the joints is bad because the boot around the base is flipped inside out, which I assume means its spitting out needle bearings.

My front went bad on me once, it acted a lot like what you described.

Yeah apparently the fronts crap out a lot more often than the rears. According to Slee they are less beefy.

My road trip west is unexpectedly taking me west along 70. I know it's short notice and I'm not sure where you are in Utah but I’m just leaving Boulder right now and could potentially meet up later today.
